Melina Kanakaredes, an American actress who is best known for playing the role of detective Stella Bonasera in the CBS police procedural drama series CSI: NY Dr. Sydney Hansen on the NBC drama series Providence and the role of Dr. Lane Hunter on the medical drama The Resident. She also received acclaim for her bold television debut as Eleni Andros Cooper in the CBS soap opera Guiding Light. 15 Minutes Percy Jackson and The Olympians The Lightning Thief and Snitch were amongst her credits on film. It is reported that she is making a film adaptation of Elisabeth KublerRoss's autobiography The Wheel of Life with Vlas and Charley Parlapanides, the pair that wrote the film Immortals. She is also filming an upcoming show called Gods & Heroes.
