Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first gymnast to score a 10 for an Olympic competition. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci when she was six. Comaneci would go on to be Romania's gymnastics coach. Her first competition was in the National Junior Championships in where she placed 13th in the year 1969. In the year 1970, she won. She won three golds in her very first contest at a junior Olympic meet in 1972 for communist bloc countries. In 1973 and 1974, she was the junior champion in all-round competitions. When she competed for the first time as a senior, in 1975 she bested the Russian Lyudmila Turishcheva the five-time European champion, winning 4 gold medals and one silver. The first female ever to perform reverse double saltos after dismounting from an unbalanced parallel bar. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began in entertainment in her teens performing as an ice skating duo along with their sibling Nina Wayne for the travelling show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne was born on September 6, 1942, in Chicago Illinois US. Carol began her career in the entertainment business as a teenager. When she was a child, she began performing as an ice skater with Nina Wayne in the travelling entertainment program Ice Capades. The shows featured ice skating that included theatrical performances.
